Students applying for immigration permission under the Student route on or after 11 November 2025 need to know about changes to the financial requirements. 

The UK Home Office has confirmed an increase in the amount of money students must show to meet maintenance requirements. The new amount is £1,171 per month for up to 9 months. 

The maximum amount that can be deducted for accommodation has also increased to £1,529 for students applying under the Student route on or after this date. 

These changes are part of the Home Office's updates to ensure students have enough money to cover living costs in the UK.
