The AMIC team exhibits with Invest Northern Ireland at the Farnborough International Airshow
Farnborough is the world's leading air show which brings together innovators from global aerospace, aviation, and defence industries to collaborate and discover revolutionary new technologies.
At the Farnborough launch the Department for Business and Trade Secretary Jonathan Reynolds announced over £100 million of government-industry funding for cutting-edge aerospace tech projects to support greener air travel, including the £10.9 million Scenic Composites project - led by AMIC in partnership with Spirit AeroSytems, Denroy and Datum Tool Design Ltd.
Through the Scenic Composites project, AMIC is developing a variety of high-value testing and manufacturing equipment which will build capability for our aerospace cluster and further consolidate its UK leading role in advanced aerostructures.
The team also had the opportunity to meet the inspirational Dr Rosemary Coogan, Northern Ireland’s first astronaut!
