Finance colleagues recognised at Higher Education Procurement Awards UK and Ireland
Queen's University Belfast's Procurement Team have won the prestigious Award of Outstanding University Procurement Team 2019 at the Higher Education Procurement Awards UK and Ireland.
Joanne Mohammed, Head of Procurement, received the top Award on behalf of the team at a gala dinner on Thursday 5 September 2019 in Leicester attended by procurement teams from across Higher Education from both the UK and Ireland.
The award, which celebrates the power and potential of a focused and unified approach to procurement initiatives, recognised the team's leadership, communication, innovation, collaboration and collective team ethic and approach to delivering excellence in procurement.
Dónall Patton from the Procurement Office was shortlisted for his exceptional performance under the Emerging Talent category for his exceptional contribution to the Procurement Team's performance, personal drive, commitment and enthusiasm for a procurement career.
Wendy Galbraith, Director of Finance, said: "I am delighted to see our Procurement Team recognised at the Higher Education Procurement Awards UK and Ireland.
