Queen's hosts the British Shakespeare Conference
The British Shakespeare Association Conference took place at Queen's from 14–17 June 2018.
Over 400 delegates attended the conference over four days, bringing together academics, practitioners, teachers and enthusiasts to debate the conference theme 'Shakespeare Studies Today'.
Highlights included five prestigious plenaries, hundreds of papers, myriad workshops and seminars, live performances, two UK film premieres and an exhibition.
Dr Ramona Wray, from the School of Arts, English and Languages at Queen's won the competitive bid to bring the conference to Belfast, and also won a Belfast Ambassador Award in 2017 for her instrumental role.
Dr Wray stated:
"It's been a huge honour to host this conference and to welcome so many distinguished Shakespeareans and international guests to what has been a landmark occasion for Queen's and the city of Belfast."
