In Pictures: Documentary screening - 'Delivering the Impossible: Agreement 25'
On Tuesday 5 December staff, students and guests attended the screening of Delivering the Impossible: Agreement Twenty Five - a documentary short on the people behind the delivery of the Agreement 25 conference hosted at Queen’s in April 2023.
Produced by Queen's University Belfast in collaboration with Emmy Award-nominated studio Fine Point Films and directed and produced by Stephen Douds, the documentary was showcased at a special screening event hosted at Queen’s Film Theatre (QFT).
Featuring unseen footage and interviews with global leaders – including Queen’s Chancellor, Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, as well as interviews with the University’s staff and students – Delivering the Impossible: Agreement Twenty Five captures and celebrates the collaborative effort from across the University community that made possible the successful delivery of the high-profile and impactful international peace conference.
The event, which was attended by staff, students and external guests, included a panel discussion reflecting on Agreement 25 chaired by journalist and broadcaster Donna Traynor, with Stephen Douds, Delivering the Impossible: Agreement 25 Producer and Director; Consul General Belfast James Applegate; Ryan Feeney, Vice-President of Strategic Engagement and External Affairs, Queen's University Belfast; Professor Richard English, Director of The Senator George J Mitchell Institute for Global Peace, Security and Justice, Queen's University Belfast; and Caroline Young, Vice-President of Students and Corporate Services, Queen's University Belfast.
