Appointment of Dean of Internationalisation in the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences
Professor David Grieve has been appointed as Dean of Internationalisation in the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences.
David has worked as a member of academic staff at Queen’s since 2005 and is currently Chair of Cardiovascular Physiology in the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences, where he is Director of Internationalisation (since 2018) and Director of Postgraduate Research (since 2016).
As Dean of Internationalisation, he will lead development and delivery of the MHLS Global Recruitment and Partnerships Strategy, with particular focus on promotion of international student recruitment, effective research collaborations, external partnership development and global reputation.
Commenting on his appointment, David said: "I am delighted to have been appointed to this role and am looking forward to leading development and expansion of the Faculty’s international education and research portfolios. I am excited by this new challenge and welcome the opportunity to engage with colleagues from across the University, in partnership with our students and other key stakeholders, towards successful delivery of Strategy 2030 and promotion of international excellence and innovation."
Professor Grieve will take up this post on 1 December 2021.
