Governance

Introduction

The Digital Operations Group (DOG) has the responsibility of implementing governance practices and ensuring that these practices are followed by staff in relation to use of the Web Content Management System (CMS) to create, publish and maintain university-based websites. As part of this responsibility, DOG members are required to assess submissions requesting new websites and examine change requests for existing websites.

Any New Website Request or Change Request must be submitted to the DOG for consideration via the respective online forms. A process containing useful resources has been defined for each request. The requests that are submitted to the DOG are reviewed and a course of action agreed by members. The outcome of the submission is then communicated to the staff member that submitted the request.

DOG Meeting Schedule

Members of the DOG meet on a fortnightly basis, and as part of this meeting, new website and change requests are considered. The projected meeting dates are as follows:

  • 5 December 2024
  • 19 December 2024
  • 2 January 2025
  • 16 January 2025
  • 30 January 2025
  • 13 February 2025

Website Accessibility Compliance

It is important that newly created websites conform to accessibility requirements from the moment they are published via the Web CMS. This checklist encourages website editors to review the content created as part of the build process and confirm that it adheres to accessibility requirements before requesting that the website is published.
