The new-build Factory of the Future facility at Global Point, which will open in 2026, provides an opportunity to develop a purpose-built environment that is industrially relevant and open-access, catering for a wide range of sectoral needs with a technology-agnostic approach to delivering Industry 4.0 for companies at any scale.
The Factory of the Future will catalyse further investment at Global Point and throughout Northern Ireland, helping to create advanced manufacturing clusters to anchor green and resilient supply chains. The building will provide a safe space for industry to explore and de-risk manufacturing technology innovation and access state of the technology and skills.
The 10,500m2 facility has excellent transport links being easily accessible by motorway, rail and in close proximity to two airports. It comprises a large engineering hall, labs, metrology suite, cleanroom, offices, meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, VR suite, an auditorium and cafe.
The Factory of the Future will showcase what Industry 4.0 can enable and will make manufacturing careers accessible and attractive to people from a wide range of backgrounds and skill sets.
This state-of-the-art facility will allow advanced manufacturing to scale up in Northern Ireland and be a place for companies to discover the latest manufacturing advancements and technologies.
