“We are most importantly game developers and players. We will talk about how we can work towards a model where your discipline is your area of craft expertise but not the only reason you are in the room. Highlighting how we can all work together as developers to improve the player experience and how this model of working has grown out of my experience in audio and working in depth with almost every other discipline.”

About the Speaker:

Lydia Andrew is a Studio Head of Creative with almost 30 years of experience in sound. Starting in location sound recording in 1994, moving into sound post-production for film and television in 1999 and into games in 2002.

Originally from London, she has worked for EA in the UK, Ubisoft in France, and Canada and now at EA Dice in Stockholm. Lydia has worked across multiple titles and genres working in all aspects of game audio creation and integration. She is passionate about the player experience and about the experience of making games.  Her current role is Studio Audio Director for EA DICE Stockholm.

 

Queen’s on the Metaverse

To support ongoing research and collaboration in relation to the Metaverse, the AHRC impact Acceleration account has funded a series of seminars aimed at supporting the research and innovation community engaged in the utilisation of immersive technologies. These seminars will engage critical leaders from diverse creative and technology fields to deliver accessible and timely critical perspectives on emerging technology trends aimed at supporting academia and industry collaboration.
