WHO Strategic Action for Urban Health Case Study: Dock Branch
The publication of the WHO case study on Dock Branch: A Community Focused Approach to Health
On 31st October, World Health Organization launched their new global report, "Taking a Strategic Approach to Urban Health: A Guide for Decision-Makers" on WorldCitiesDay
Excitingly, some of GroundsWell's partnership work has been featured in the case studies. Dock Branch in Birkenhead, UK is highlighted as an example of community-led, healthy urban development, and we’re proud that Groundswell’s work alongside Backin' Birkenhead contributed to this inspiring collaboration.
Together with local partners, residents and system leaders, we explored new models for neighbourhood transformation rooted in lived experience, shared power and long-term wellbeing.
A huge thank you to everyone involved, and to the WHO Urban Health team for championing strategic, collaborative action in urban health worldwide.
