Leandro Garcia visited a school in south Belfast to discuss healthy neighbourhoods
Earlier this year, Leandro Garcia visited a south Belfast school to speak to P1 students about "healthy neighbourhoods". Leandro led a discussion with approximately 100 students about the concept of healthy neighbourhoods, what healthy neighbourhoods might look like, and what kinds of health behaviours these neighbourhoods promote that can contribute to overall well-being.
During the visit, Leandro encouraged the students to participate in a series of interactive activities, providing the young learners with the opportunity to express their thoughts and ideas freely. Students had the opportunity to reflect on their own experiences and share their insights about what changes might make their neighbourhoods healthier.
Through this collaborative dialogue, the students not only learned about the importance of health and community but also had the chance to contribute their unique perspectives on creating a healthier environment for everyone.
